This year, tweed has made a bigger-than-ever comeback. Although tweed has always been a classic fall staple because of its texture and warmth, this season the fabric has been reinvented and modernized.

Add a tweed sportcoat to your wardrobe this season.

Tweed is a rough, woolen fabric that comes in three types: Harris Tweed, Donegal Tweed, and silk tweed. We use Harris Tweed, a cloth handwoven by the islanders of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland from local wool, at Hart Schaffner Marx.

A normal worsted wool herringbone has a tighter construction giving it a flatter look, but the herringbone used in this garment is more textured and warm.
