Yesterday, we wrote about the “lost art” of rigging mannequins, or fitting them in tailored clothing. It seems almost overnight (although in reality, it took excruciating hard work) that the showrooms have been transformed, displaying our Fall 2013 collection.
Here’s a preview below, but you’ll have to wait to see more of next fall’s product. Enjoy!
“A lot of people don’t know what rigging is,” says Tom Beebe, our VP of Creative Services. “It’s a lost art.”

Hart Schaffner Marx twice “went to war,” converting our factories from fashion to army and navy officers’ uniform contracts. Read on to learn about the manufacturing of the uniforms and the influence of the wars on men’s fashion.
In a few days, everyone will be dressed to the nines, holding a glass of champagne and ringing in the New Year. We will make pledges and resolutions for 2013, and become nostalgic and like to take a look back at what has occurred over the past year and what made 2012 a great one.
To celebrate the new year and the new logo of Hart Schaffner Marx we decided to take a look at the evolution of our logos from the beginning of this American brand to today. More pictures after the jump.
In our final installment of the Holiday Gift Guide, Mike Cohen of sister American-made brand Hickey Freeman shares two items on his wish list this year. View more gift ideas from others in the office here.
The Hart Schaffner Marx 125th Anniversary Herringbone Sportcoat, available for a limited time only at hartschaffnermarx.com for $414.99, has a 3/2 roll and an American style lapel. Featuring patch pockets with flaps, there’s no better tweed jacket for fall. Available at hartschaffnermarx.com.
The Hickey Freeman Sterling Collection Slim Cardigan features suede panels on the front and fine merino wool elsewhere, with a herringbone effect on the shawl collar. It’s like buying two items for the price of one, as it can double as both a sweater and a jacket. Available at hickeyfreeman.com.
Have a great holiday and Happy New Year!
